| 1. | God sent his food they called it pie It came to be smelled, tasted, & digested. It got bought & eaten A full pan there is to prove there's Pie. |
| Chorus | Because there's pie I can face tomorrow; Because there's pie all hunger is gone. Because I know it holds the taste. And life is worth the living just because there's pie. |
| 2. | How sweet it is to eat a fresh pie And smell the blueberries with the joy it gives But greater still is the taste. This child can face uncertain days because there's pie. (repeat chorus) |
| 3. | Then one day I'll eat a new flavor I'll fight life's final war with pain; And then as death gives way to vic'try I'll see the lights of glory & I'll know there's pie (repeat chorus) |
| Emperor MAR's Thoughts: At the time I had never seen the real Where's the Beef? Commercial. Possibly my worst drawing ever including ones I did when I was 5. The song is a spoof of an old hym, this being the religious pie comic, Because He Lives. This is most likely the best song in this comic. I don't like how I left in alot of the old lyrics in these song spoofs. |
