Homeless

When your phone is off the hook and you're putting on the breaks
Life gives you troubles that you don't think that you can take
A dozen voices in your ear telling you it's all in here
You don't learn it's all about your fear

Get alone
Cry alone
You're living on your own but you know this isn't home

Your dad said it's ok to be afraid
Your mom said it's not about what you get paid
It only matters where you lay
Well you lie in wait for your golden god
He'll turn you blue it's a facade

Get alone
Cry alone
You're living on your own but you know this isn't home

You run wild with heartbreak
You feel enslaved and like a mistake
Someone comes to your door
You let them in
They tell you there is more
You can live fresh
You can live free
For you Jesus died so just let him be your lord
You send them on their way
You lock the door
You fall praying on the floor

You get alone
You cry alone
You're not living on your own and Jesus has made for you a home
