Last Day Living
A shoe stained conquest envisioned my heart as it slept.
I walked into the foyer to find some bodily rest.
An increment of bone sank like stone
I knew I had lost what was once my best
A safe and sorry ear was the only to hear as I gripped my humbled breast
A man over toward the curve heard my little word as I struggled to regain my mess
A bell boy walked by and let out a loud sigh
"Another cardiac arrest"
