Commentary:
World Heavyweight Champion -
Jack Dempsey was the World Heavyweight Champion during this time and this story fills in the gaps as to why "The Bob" is champ but he and (The Joe) not being recognized historically as such.
The Magi (as referred to in this context are also known as The 3 Wise Men) gave Jesus Christ myrrh in Matthew 2:1-2:12.
The Newspaper article is based on an actual article from March 16, 1924 written about the upcoming fight between Gene Tunney & Jimmy Delaney in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Elements like the Friends Arena, the author's name (which I think was Theodore L. Shear), and "The Bob" being from South St. Paul (like Jimmy Delaney) remain intact. I could not relocate this article online after extensive searching. Gene Tunney is the actual person who first defeated Jack Dempsey for the World Heavyweight Championship.
Samson LaBarge is the (as far as I remember) the fictional father of real life famous bear trainer Ruth LaBarge.
(The Joe) having a good second wind as opposed to a first wind is true to life.
Mills Darden was one of the largest men to ever live (in height and weight).
Lesson Mania! - An alternate cover is used. Lessons are from 6/25/04, 4/7/02, 7/10/06.
