Recent Scripture: 10/16/05 2 Timothy 2:1-2 You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. History: Somewhere in the first 2 weeks of Lessons (The Joe) decided to have companions to the lessons alternating for each day of the week. (The Joe) enlisted help for what each day should be from his friends MP no OC (P.O.C.) & Omaha Nebraska. Omaha Nebraska suggested Friday to be a Bible Scripture for the week. This was accepted & what was then dubbed as Semi-Random Scripture of the Week & was put on Fridays. It made its debut Feb. 9, 2001 & ended on April 20, 2001 at the end of Scripture Mania Week!!! (The Joe) had assistance in picking the scriptures from his friends. Scripture of/for the Week was only titled Semi-Random Scripture of the Week the first week & was changed thereafter. Mania Week contained what was called Scriptural Lessons & a Scriptural Tip on Tuesday of the week. It was decided to archive the Scriptures of/for the Weeks & to restart them also. Scripture of/for the Week returned in 2004 & is now being done on Sundays rather than Fridays Most scriptures are from the NIV. Some scriptures were originally presented in an alternate translation than may appear. Scriptures from 2005 are NASB. |
